Johns Not Mad is the brainchild of one Joe Quimby Jr (and please NO simpsons jokes!)who was once the drummer in the ill-fated Akira (...I said NO simpsons jokes!) a 3/4 female quartet once tipped to be Glasgows answer to Sleater Kinney.
After the band split in 2002 Joe began to concentrate on his own material, a lo-fi mish mash of post rock electronica in the vein of NYC'sInterpol, (smog) and late ninties miserablists such as Codiene and Idaho (ask your big brother). He currently plays guitar In Glasgow Jesus Lizard afficiondos Fighting Red Adair. Joe is Currently recording his debut album. Keep your eyes and ears open for this one.
